"
THOM'S FAVORITES"
is a must -see eclectic
section for many of our
customers.
Located in downtown Sandy, Oregon, Some Bookstore In Sandy is a locally-owned,
independent bookshop. We offer a growing selection of new and used books in English
and Spanish... for the young and young at heart.
Our store is unique in Sandy... a comfortable
spot to sit and read. Our three reading areas
have comfortable couches, games, and soft
reading lamps. We invite you to sit at the
hand-made counters and sip a cup of our
freshly brewed Stumptown coffee. The warm,
brick-colored walls showcase local paintings
and photography.
Your bookseller at SBIS is retired Boeing worker-bee, Thom
Walker
,  who has had a life-long passion for reading. After hand
crafting all of the bookshelves himself, Thom has spent many hours
filling the shelves with more than 15,000 books ranging in topics
from current politics, history, math, science, and classics to mystery,
suspense, action adventure, legal thrillers, and westerns.

We are proud to serve the Sandy reading community!

Trying to find a book someone told you about but can't remember
the name?  Thom loves the challenge of finding the books you are
looking for!  Not only will Thom find the books you want, he will
also give you recommendations.  Browsing is highly encouraged!

Are you a local artist or musician? Ask Thom about opportunities
to showcase your art and music. Do you need a place to meet with
your book club or knitting circle? Ask us about reserving a time!
