In September 2007 it was an honor and a privilege to accompany my Father, Lucian Walker, to
the reunion of the 792nd Anti Aircraft Artillery & Automatic Weapons Battalion in Cleveland, OH.

These men served in the European Theatre in World War II from the Normandy invasion in June
1944 until the surrender of Germany in May 1945.  They were in England for many months
before the invasion and some remained in Germany until late 1945.

There were four veterans at the reunion:

  • Jesse Adams of New Castle, Indiana

  • Mike Fitzsimmons of Rochester Hills, Michigan

  • Walter Pleiness of Harbor Beach, Michigan

  • Lucian Walker of Murfreesboro, Tennessee

The many family members and friends who show up year after year make it almost seem like a
family reunion.  This year the reunion was a success only because of a lot of hard work and
dedication by Sandra and Joe Rosinski.  Joe enjoyed his role as chauffeur and chief help-mate to
Sandra so much that he didn't visibly wince when Sandra volunteered to set up next year's
reunion also to be held in Cleveland, although he did have a bit of an eye-twitch for the remainder
of our visit.

Below are some pictures . . . enjoy.
